Blockbuster to favor Blu-ray
It looks like HD DVD got a slap in the face from Blockbuster when they stated that they will start rent out Blu-ray discs in their 1 450 stores – and only Blu-ray discs. The war isn’t over yet, but a couple of more blows like this one and it can all be over pretty quick…
Blockbuster has been renting both Blu-ray and HD DVD titles in 250 stores since late last year and found that consumers were choosing Blu-ray titles more than 70 percent of the time.
