Budget lens from Nikon with VR

The race in the budget- and mid segment D-SLR cameras is very tight, and if you can’t compete with higher resolution you can compete with better features like vibration reduction. Nikon’s VR system affords users the ability to take pictures at shutter speeds up to three stops slower than they ordinarily could shoot without the image-degrading blur caused by camera shake at slow shutter speeds.

The AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR lens will be available beginning December 2007 at an estimated selling price of $199.

Please note that the image above features a different Nikon lens than the NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR lens.
