4/3/2008 | Mikael Svardh 1Today Sony announced the world’s smalles HD camcorder. The new model will be called Sony HDR-TG1 and it records video in full HD resoultion (1080i, not 1080p though). JVC GZ-HD5 & GZ-HD6
1/30/2008 | Mikael SvardhToday JVC announced two new full HD camcorders offering a full 1920×1080 resolution including progressive 60 frames per second capabilites. The biggest difference between the two models is that the HD5 features a 60 GB hard disk while the HD6 comes with a 120 GB disk. 120GB gives you a full 10 hours of video using the highest quality settings and 60GB gives you 5 hours. The JVC GZ-HD6, offered in black, and the GZ-HD5, offered in silver, will be available in March for $1,399.99 and $1,199.99. More information inside.
Panasonic SDR-SW20
1/21/2008 | Mikael SvardhIn February the new SDR-SW20 from Panasonic gets available in stores. It’s a compact camcorder with a dust and water proof body and it can be dropped from up to 4 feet without taking any damage. The camera features 10 X optical zoom and a 2.7 inch LCD screen.

8/2/2007 | Mikael SvardhWe just got a press release from Hitachi letting us know that they have unveiled the Hitachi DZ-BD7H – the world’s first blu-ray disc camcorder. It’s in fact a camcorder combo where you can choose whether to record on a blu-ray disc or on the built-in 30GB hard drive. It’ll be launched in Japan in the end of August for around $1600. HD MiniDV are getting affordable

I was kind of surprised when I got a link to this high definition MiniDV camcorder from Canon – the Canon HV10. The camcorder captures true high definition 1080 line video in 16:9 format, but the price tag reads just $1000. Hey, soon it’s time to buy one of these…! (No, I’m not using some kind of affiliate linking with these urls trying to earn some $)
