Hair gel fixes scratched CDs
Do you have problems with scratched CDs or DVDs? This tip from Ben at om3ga might help you out. He has tried different methods of removing the scratches, and found out that one of the best ways of removing scratches is to use hair gel.

This guy tried water, deodorant, lemon oil, toothpaste and hair gel – basically just wandering around his flat grabbing random things until something kinda worked. I doubt hair gel is a good thing to leave slathered all over your CD collection and the laser pickup of your CD player.
