Ok I know that this ain’t exactly news, but since we did the blu-ray unboxing in December I think it’s fair to do a HD DVD unboxing even though it’s 8 months later.

When I open up a box and find nothing but an empty disc, I must admit that I’m pretty disappointed. Couldn’t they include just a small leaflet plugging for other HD DVD titles? Anyway, the box is easy to open and just a bit smaller than a standard DVD case (the blu-ray case is thinner).

If it wasn’t for the HD DVD logo, I would take this one for a DVD.

The back of the HD DVD disc looks exactly like a standard DVD, the blu-ray disc is semi-transparent and blueish. That was that, not too exciting – pretty much like opening up a standard DVD.
