Inkjet – $8000 per gallon
We all know that buying inkjet cartridges is almost always a complete ripoff with prices up to $8000 per gallon. HP made 40 percent of their $2.63 billion operating profits last quarter from their imaging and printing group and the whole inkjet circus has become almost ridiculous.
Last time I went to the store to pick up new ink cartridges for my Canon printer I ended up buying a brand new printer because the price for a new printer was the same as buying 4 new cartridges…! Check out this interesting article over at Popsci for more interesting facts on this topic.

I would love to pay high ink prices for a working epson 80C. I could run any type of paper at almost any length trough that thing. (max width 8.5in) Its great for crafts and printed assembly projects.
