iPod touch – unboxing
A couple of weeks ago I unboxed the new 3:rd generation iPod nano and today it was X-mas again. This time we unboxed the brand new iPod touch we got just a few hours ago (yeah, I know you have had it in the states for a couple of weeks, but I got one of the first in Sweden).

The usual ‘Designed by Apple in California‘ / ‘Assembled in China‘ text – we got the 16GB version.

An iPod touch playing one of Macy Grays album is printed on the top.

The inside of box has a thin layer of foam rubber and the player is coated with plastic film.

The player can be found inside a plastic sheet and the manuals in a black paper case. The ear phones and the cables can be found in the typical Apple white plastic bag.

This is what you get – nothing extra ordinary. Stickers, manuals, USB cable, ear phones, a small case and some plastic holders.

No fingerprints – yet.

Ain’t she a beauty?

And thin?

3:rd generation nano to the left, iPod touch in the middle and the iPod Video 80GB to the right.

As you can see the iPod touch is almost as thin as a nano…

…and compared to the iPod 80GB it’s really skinny (5G – the new classic is a bit thinner). After playing around with the player for a few hours I must admit that I’m impressed. It’s a really impressive device – especially the WiFi, YouTube, the Safari web browser and the built-in wireless iTunes shop. You will get a full review in a week or two.
