iPod Video 80GB – unboxing
It’s time for some gadget porn – here’s our unboxing of the iPod Video 80GB. And it’s a good one – lots of pictures inside.

Just for the fun of it I’ll do a little size comparison between an iPod 4G box with the new iPod 5.5G box – it has shrunk to almost one third in size.

So let’s begin. Inside the thin paper box you find a nice, black…

…Apple book with a shiny Apple logo. Nice.

The book is held together with a round piece of plastic.

When you open it up you get instant access to the iPod Video 80GB.

The USB cable and the headphones comes in two small white plastic bags…

…that looks like the ones you get your knife and fork in on airplanes.

Here’s a close-up of the USB cable,

, and here’s another close-up of the new iPod headphones.

So, lets sum it up. Inside the box you’ll find the iPod, a carrying case, manuals, a small plastic cover, headphones and a USB cable. No charger or CD.

An untouched iPod is ridiculously shiny.

The back is even shinier, even though it looks a bit blurry on this photo.

Before I’ll do anything with my new iPod I’m going to make it scratch proof with the great Invisible Shield protection film.
Stay tuned for our review of the iPod Video 80GB.
