On Friday Sony is hosting a big press conference where they are expected to announce a new Playstation 3 with a 40GB drive for the new low price of $399(!). It looks like we will have an exciting race between the Nintendo Wii, the PS3 and the Xbox 360 this christmas. I’m pretty sure that $399 for a gaming device and a blu-ray player will tempt a lot of families and techies to buy a PS3, yours truly included. We will see on Friday if the rumour is true but it sure looks like it, check out this ‘proof’ from BestBuy over at Engadget.
