Samsung has unveiled three new home theater systems, the HT-Q100, the HT-XQ100 and the HT-XQ120.

Las Vegas, NV – January 5, 2006 – Samsung, a leader in the Home Theater in a Box (HTiB) market, introduces the100 series Home Theater in a Box systems. These top-end HTiBs match impressive performance with gorgeousaesthetics and coveted features such as a high-power subwoofer, multimedia playback, USB Plug & Play support,and two exquisite color choices: pearl white or piano black. Samsung’s inspired new DVD HTiB line will be ondisplay during CES 2006 in the Samsung booth #11033 in the Central Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center atCES from January 5th – 8th.

Samsung’s newest HTiB systems incorporate an integrated DVD player/receiver and powerful sub-woofer-basedsurround sound system to transform any living room into a fully-functioning digital multimedia entertainment center.The progressive-scan DVD player supports multimedia files including DivX, MP3, DVD Audio, WMA, CD-R/RW andDVD-R/RW. They also display JPEGs so users can view photos burned to CD from digital cameras in their livingrooms instead of huddling around a monitor. MP3 aficionados will love the USB host Plug & Play capability, whichallows MP3 players to be attached to the system so stored music files can be enjoyed by all in the room.-

HT-Q100 and HT-XQ100
For the digital entertainment lover who needs to save space, the compact and beautiful HT-Q100 is the perfectchoice. The two speaker, 2.1 channel system features Dolby Virtual Surround and 500W of power. With its separatesubwoofer, the small system creates a big home theater experience in a small space.The step up HT-QX100 is a full-blown 5.1 Channel Dolby Digital, Dolby Pro Logic and DTS system. Packing 500watts of power, the system comes with a center channel, and four satellite speakers for that true surround soundexperience that jumps off the screen.

Samsung HT-Q100

The systems are available with or without HDMI output / HD upscaling. High Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI)output with Farudja DCDI video up scaling, which allows a DVD to play at near HD quality up to720p/1080i.The HT-Q100 and HT-QX100 will be available in April 2006. The HT-Q100 and HT-QX100 with HDMI output are$499 MAP and $449 MAP respectively. The HT-Q100 and HT-QX100 without HDMI output are $449 MAP and $399MAP respectively.

HT-XQ120
Designed for the ultimate home theater buff, Samsung’s HT-XQ120, features an elegant black finish and sleek bodydesign ready for wall mounting (vertically or horizontally increasing placement options) or for display horizontallyon the provided stand as well as four sleek and sexy Tall Boy speakers. The superior 1000W audio CD playback(150W x 5ch + 250W sub) will give audiophiles a smile. The Separately powered subwoofer provides a big bottombass sound that will astound.

Samsung HT-XQ120

The HT-XQ120 offers both HDMI input and output. The HDMI input facilitates the future addition of STB, videogame, or other HDMI equipped device. HDTV owners will appreciate the Farudja DCDI up-scale feature so thatthey can view their favorite DVD’s in near HD resolutions up to 720p or 1080i. With its built-in rear wireless module,unsightly wires or cumbersome in-wall installations disappear.
The HT-XQ120 will be available July 2006 with a $1,199 MAP.
