If someone would have presented a XBOX 360 for me and my friends 20 years ago, I’m pretty sure we probably would have fainted. When you compare similar games from the mid-eighties with today’s top notch video and computergames, the difference in graphics is quite amazing.

A lot of things is happening over at Kickstarter nowadays. Here’s another cool project which consist of a handheld controller and a wireless HDMI-stick. Just plug it into a TV and you can start gaming. It’s based on Android and will be launched around April for $135. More about the project over at their Kickstarter page.
Bad Piggies – the sequel to Rovios enormous hit series ‘Angry Birds’ is now official. It’s another physics puzzler but the villain pigs are now the heroes. The game will be $0.99$.99 and is set for release on September 27 on iOS, Android, PC, and Mac. With the new Diamond Multimedia GC1000 you can record your video output from HDMI sources from your favourite gaming consoles HDMI video output. It will probably not work to record blu-ray HDMI output though due to the digital content copy protection built-in most blu-ray players. You can get the device for $139.99.

The Atari 2600, released back in 1977, is one of the most game consoles – and it’s a true classic. Some guy has spent quite a lot of time making a lamp out of an old dead 2600 and I think it’s quite cool.
Over at ThinkGeek you can get ahold of a classic Atari joystick with a modern USB connector. It works with console and arcade emulators including Stella, VICE and MAME and is compatible both with Mac and PC (no drivers needed). More info inside.
