The Samsung GALAXY Camera (aka EK-GC100) is an interesting new camera from Samsung. I have actually been waiting for these kind of cameras for a while, because it’s an obvious next step to do what Samsung have been doing with the new Galaxy camera – integrating Internet and apps into the camera! It’s too early to say if this camera is a good one, but if you just read the specification sheet it sure looks great; 21x optical touch zoom lens, a bright 16M BSI CMOS sensor, quad-core processor, WiFi and 3G & 4G connections. If they just add some proper phone functionalities I guess that many would switch their Android phones for a device like the Samsung GALAXY Camera as the camera keeps becoming more and more important when you decide what phone to buy.

Sony unveiled a groundbreaking TV today at the IFA 2012 in Berlin. They presented the XBR-84X900 which is one of the first TV models capable of showing 4K content (pixel resolution of 3840 x2160). No word on pricing yet but it will be a really expensive piece – and at this point you really can’t use all the pixels except for showing photos and making it act as a computer screen. And also keep in mind that placing a 84 inch beast in your livingroom can be a bit tricky, but if you can afford this TV you probably have plenty of space… At least it’s interesting to see that the 4K technology is making some progress!
