Wii outsells PS3 in Japan
The Nintendo Wii is a huge success in Japan. It’s in fact so popular that it’s outselling the PS3 two to one; 1.95 million Wii consoles compared to 0.81 million PS3s during a similar time period. But if we’re talking pure sales value, the race is quite even 47.6 billion yen in sales for Sony and 48.7 billion yen for Nintendo.

“pure sales value”? What is it they say on the web? Meh.
Units sold tells the story. Innovative design + affordable price = market domination.

One should not only consider system sales but also what the 2 to 1 figure means for game and accessory sales. I heard the figures for the PS3 are really bad there as well.

Easy.. a PS3 costs like 2 Wii..that’s why their sales figures in yen are almost the same..
